1. Does the Alpicool car refrigerator use a compressor for cooling?
Yes, all Alpicool car refrigerators use compressor for cooling

2. Does the car fridge have a power cord?
Yes, our car refrigerators all contain an AC power adapter and a DC power cord.

3. What is the difference between LGCF45 and CF45? What does 'LG' mean?
Except for the compressor, LGCF45 and CF45 have the same configurations. LGCF45 uses LG compressor, and CF45 uses Chinese compressor. 'LG' refers to Korean LG compressor.

4. Which models use LG compressors?
We currently only use LG compressors for LGT50/LGT60/LGCF45/LGCF55.

5. How long is the warranty?
1 year warranty for the whole machine and 2 year warranty for the compressor.

6. Does it work like a regular cooler when it is not plugged in?
It can stay cool for about 4 hours without being plugged in.

7. How loud is the compressor when running on Eco mode?
When you use the refrigerator in your car and plug it into a 12V socket, the noise is almost imperceptible!

8. Can I simultaneously have different temperatures between the freezer and refrigerator?
Dear customer, you can chose the Alpicool T series, TA series,TAW series, they have dual temperature control function in one refrigerator for your needs.

9. The CF45 was delivered upside-down, not sure how long the unit was upside-down. Will the unit still work properly?
If the box was undamaged, do not plug it in until after reading the instructions, inspecting it, and after sitting right side up for the minimum of 12 hours or following the instructions in the booklet included. Plugging a refrigeration unit in after moving it at angles over 45 degrees can burn out the compressor motor as the fluids have not settled. Settling takes time. Ours works great! came on a wheelbarrow, moved onto a ship, unboxed on end, sat unplugged in the chosen location for the required time, plugged in and set up according to instructions.

10. Will the fan/compressor turn off when the unit reaches set temp, and then turn on again when it gets too warm?
Yes that is how it operates. It cools to the set temp, warms up and repeats.

11. Photos of the C40 show the top openings from the ends and sides. Which way is accurate?
You can switch the door opening to either direction with the already provided hinges.

12. Is it possible to replace the K18 with a 12V adapter?
Yes, you can get AC/DC and 12V power cables online. Make sure the adapter fits Alpicool.

13. Just received unit and it will not turn on. control panel lit up, it beeped and shut off. no response from ac or dc. what is the issue?
You have to hold the on button down for about 3-4 seconds. It won’t turn on by just touching the button.

Works well, but uses more power as fridge/freezer

The LG compressor in the LGT50 is a better option than the compressors in the cheaper model.

When used as a fridge and run in Eco mode, it uses about 40% less power than in fridge/freezer mode. When set to 4 degrees C on the fridge side and -9 on the freezer side, there were times when the freezer temperature would be as low as -15 C. It controlled the temperature more closely when I set the freezer temperature to - 6 C.

In fridge/freezer mode at the temperature settings above, it will drain an EcoFlow Delta 2 (85% of 1,600 W) in about 40 hours at an ambient temperature of around 24 degrees C. So, it would not be possible to use this for a whole weekend without having solar panels to recharge the Delta 2. That was unexpected, based on advertised power draw of about 40 W! So, efficiency does not seem to be as good as advertised.

Wonderful cooling with no ice!

We bought this to take on road trips and camping trips so we didn't have to worry about ice. We originally wanted a bigger one, but we had to settle for a smaller one to fit under the cover of our pickup bed. This is actually a great size and big enough for all of our needs. I love the removable divider that can make it larger. The cooler knows when the divider is removed and only offers one temp setting. We haul it in the bed of the pickup connected to a Jackery. In the evening we take it in our hotel room. The wheels make transport a breeze. I love having the option to get ice cream if we want a dessert when before we had to pass on such things.

This is a well designed product. I tested it when I received it and it works well. The temperature it achieves is a few degrees different than where I set it, but definitely within acceptable range. Power consumption is reasonable, as is noise. I can’t review longevity, since I just got it.

I recently had the pleasure of using the Alpicool LGT50 12V portable car fridge on my first camping trip, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. This fridge deserves a solid 5-star rating for its outstanding performance and convenience.

Firstly, the setup was a breeze. It's compact and lightweight design made it easy to transport and fit into my car without taking up too much space. Once connected to the 12V outlet, it quickly cooled down and was ready to use.

During the trip, the Alpicool LGT50 kept my food and drinks perfectly chilled throughout the entire journey. Even in hot weather conditions, it maintained a consistent temperature, ensuring everything stayed fresh. The adjustable temperature settings were also a great feature, allowing me to customize the cooling based on my needs.

One of the standout features of this fridge is its energy efficiency. Despite running continuously for several days, it didn't drain my car battery excessively, which was a relief. This allowed me to enjoy a worry-free camping experience without constantly monitoring the power consumption.

The build quality is also impressive. The durable construction and sturdy handles make it easy to carry around, even over rough terrain. Plus, the interior layout is well-designed, providing ample space for storage while keeping items organized.

Overall, I highly recommend the Alpicool LGT50 12V portable car fridge to anyone in need of a reliable cooling solution for their outdoor adventures. It's a game-changer for camping trips, road trips, picnics, and more. Five stars all the way!

No more ice. Worked great with 300 watt battery pack and 100 watt folding solar.
